Tuesday, 27 December 2011
What comes into your mind when you hear the word “body builder”? Most probably, you will be thinking about men with large muscles carrying dumbbells and barbells 3 or 5 x their body weight. You would also probably see them in gyms or fitness centers working their way out to build those muscles without minding the sweat and pain they are experiencing. A body builder would even tell you that one of his motto in life would be “no pain, no gain” because he knows that the aches he is feeling from working out will be worth it when he gains the muscle he wants. Now, if you want to be a body builder, you have to be conscious about your daily meal plan. You cannot just eat anything. If you also think that you must eat a lot to gain more muscle then you are wrong. Being a body builder requires a lot of discipline not just with the training but also on the things you eat.
Proteins are the food of our muscles. Without it, they cannot function well. So eating foods rich in protein is a must for every body builder. You might even hear them talking about protein shakes which is composed of fruits and vegetables rich in protein and other minerals that helps build the muscle like potassium. They also follow a strict diet which is divided equally through out the day. 50 percent of this program is consisted of carbohydrates because they need it to lift weights and do strenuous activities. They are also wary about consuming fat because it does no good if they really want to build those muscles.
